FAO’s Research and Extension Unit (OINR) in collaboration with the Centre for Research on Innovation and Science Policy (CRISP), and the Department of Agriculture Extension and Cooperatives (DAEC) organised a ‘Training on development of Information Products for farmers’ in response to Farmer Information Needs Assessment (FINA) conducted among farmers in Lao PDR. Mr Phokarasy Alounsavath, Director, Information, Extension and Market Linkage Division, DAEC Chaired the programme.

Our special thanks to Sengphachanh Sonethavixay and Vornthalom Chanthavong from FAO, Lao PDR, our Guest Speakers, Dr Jayaraj P (Programme Coordinator, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kannur) and Dr Tamizhkumaran J, Senior Manager-Veterinary Services, Dvara E Dairy Solutions, Chennai and Delgermaa Chuluunbaatar and Aiden Holley from FAO HQ for their support in organising this training.

This training was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF), as the national component of the TAP-AIS project (Developing capacities in agricultural innovation systems: scaling up the Tropical Agriculture Platform Framework) implemented by FAO’s Research and Extension Unit, and funded by the European Union as a component of the EU DeSIRA initiative.
